  1. I followed Regis and Kelly and learned that people were very harsh. The discussions were negative toward both Regis and Kelly. People discussed Regis’s inability to use technology and made comments on Kelly’s appearance. I did like the link discussing the upcoming episodes. I also followed Teacher Magazine. I learned the most information from the question forum. I followed the RI teacher firings closely on this facebook. The links provided gave more background information on the topics discussed.
  2. I don’t Facebook often, but I do have an account. When I do log onto Facebook, I find myself engrossed in it for a long time. I feel that I cannot justify spending that much time on Facebook.

B. I don’t really have any gadgets. I love my MacBook, and I thought the iPad looked really neat. Other than my old cell phone, that’s the extent of my technology gadgets.
C. The two things that surprised me in this chapter were that so many Net Geners steal music but don’t consider that wrong. I was surprised to read about some of the large companies amenities. Those would be really fun. I cannot imagine having a rock-climbing wall at school! I was also surprised the need for the Net Geners to have the latest and greatest gadgets and will update often.
  1. A. After reading this chapter, I do believe that video games can increase students learning. Net Geners need technology so incorporating it into the curriculum by using video games would provide a learning experience tailored for them.
B. I was surprised that IQ scores have increased every decade. I was surprised at the Net Geners ability to focus on a task unless the distraction was tech related. I was glad to read that we can still “train” and improve our brains.

5. I liked the Interactive Photo Essay from the New York Times. It helps me incorporate current world events into my social studies classes by providing updated photos.
